Hot Water Rebate
The Hot Water Rebate offers up to $2000 in Federal and State government rebates for the purchase and installation of an eligable solar or heat pump hot water system that replaces an electric storage hot water system at an existing principle place of residence.
Installing a low emissions hot water system can save between $300 and $700 in electricity costs each year. It can also cut your greenhouse gas emissions by around 28 per cent.
The rebate is offered from 3rd February 2009 until 30th June 2012.
The rebate is not valid if you have previously applied for the home insulation component of the Energy Efficient Homes Package at the same address.
